Fraudulent Phone Call Alert

Fraudulent Phone Call Alert.

Several customers have reported receiving calls from an automated service, claiming to report that their debit card has been blocked. The caller then instructs them to “press 1” to reactivate the card.

Please do not respond if you receive this call. It is a fraudulent attempt to obtain your confidential information. If you have responded to such a call and provided your Equitable debit card information, please call your branch immediately so we can take steps to protect your account.

Remember, too, neither Equitable Savings and Loan Association nor any reputable bank or credit union will ever contact you by phone, text or e-mail and ask you to provide confidential information, such as card and account numbers, and PINs. Your best defense against such a scam is to hang up or delete the message.
